Virtual production is one of the most talked-about developments in media and film technology. But how much of it is genuine innovation – and how much is still a promise the industry is selling?
On 14 May 2026, David Knapp, Managing Director of AV-PRO, will take the stage at the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) in London to address exactly that question. In a 30-minute session at the Production Theatre, he will share practical insights from real-world projects – including AV-PRO’s work with Sony’s Crystal LED VERONA technology – and deliver an honest assessment of where virtual production delivers, where it still falls short, and what productions need to consider before committing to it.
