Austrian Film Award 2026 – HQ7 Studios Vienna
Technical partner for screen playout, show control and live showcase
For the 2026 Austrian Film Award ceremony at HQ7 Studios Vienna, AV Professional served as technical partner responsible for the complete media technology setup.
Screen Playout & Show Control
All screens were driven by the Pixera media server – from pre-produced content to live output. In addition, we provided the complete show control and directing infrastructure for the event. Camera technology was handled by Alexander Boboschewski. The ceremony was streamed live on ORF ON – with correspondingly high demands on signal integrity and redundancy throughout the entire workflow.
Content Production
The playback videos for the ceremony were produced in collaboration with LEDcave – concept, production and playout from a single source, tailored to the show’s screen architecture.
Virtual Production Showcase
Following the ceremony, we presented a live showcase directly in front of the stage: the interplay of Sony Ocellus camera tracking, Pixera and Unreal Engine – as a hands-on demonstration for the professional audience to try out themselves.
AMP – Mobile Power Supply
On the premises, we also presented the AMP, our autonomous mobile battery solution based on LiFePO4 technology: emission-free, silent on-set power – no diesel generator required.
Services at a glance: Screen playout (Pixera media server) · Show control · Playback video production (with LEDcave) · Virtual production showcase (Sony Ocellus, Pixera, Unreal Engine) · AMP presentation

Europe Day at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten 2025
Remembering for the future
“Remembering for the future” was the title of the ceremony held at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten to mark Europe Day. The event commemorated the important years of 1945, 1955, 1995 and 2005 – the end of the Second World War, the signing of the Austrian State Treaty and Austria’s accession to the European Union.
On behalf of the agency Media Contacta and in close cooperation with the team at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten, AV-Professional planned and realised the media technology for the event. In order to make the ceremony accessible to the general public, the event was broadcast on ORF Lower Austria under the direction of Bernhard Hieger. The technology and expertise of AV-Professional was also utilised here.
A technical highlight was definitely the remote camera slider, which was positioned at the edge of the stage and provided dynamic images of the dialogue situation as well as audience shots.

We used six PT-RQ35s to light up the facade of Vienna City Hall, supporting the visually stunning show staged by theatre director Milo Rau.

Opening of the Vienna Festival 2022
“Last Night on Earth” – immersive 4K projection technology at Vienna City Hall with 12 projectors & live broadcast with ORF
Under the motto “Last Night on Earth”, the opening concert brought together music from three centuries as well as artistic messages from the multifaceted history of the festival.
We supported the opening with professional video and projection technology and contributed to the technical transmission with ORF. A digital 4K fibre optic network was created for this purpose, which distributed and coordinated the signals between the Wiener Festwochen, the ORF and our cameras.
The façade of Vienna City Hall was transformed into optically new objects by the immersive light installation created by “Hand mit Auge”, an association for projection art and audiovisual interaction, with the help of a total of 12 projectors. The interplay of light reflections, light pulses to rhythmic sounds and the stage performance enveloped the visitors in light and sound and offered a unique experience.
The equipment used included
- mobile 4K control room
- 12 Panasonic PT-RZ31K projectors (with ultra-short throw optics on a chain curtain)
